Keep Parks Public: New Mexico's Public Lands Under Pressure

Join us for a live podcast recording about the threats facing New Mexico’s public lands.

This event is part of the Center for Western Priorities’ Keep Parks Public campaign. We’ll be discussing the impacts of staffing and funding cuts at land management agencies, rollbacks of environmental laws and safeguards, and the associated impacts on our beloved public lands, from Organ Mountains Desert Peaks National Monument in the South, to the canyons, forests, and sagebrush of northern New Mexico.

We’ve brought together an expert panel to discuss these issues, including Charlotte Overby with the Conservation Lands Foundation, Andrew Black with the National Wildlife Federation, and Elaine Leslie, with the Coalition to Protect America’s National Parks, and Keegan King, with Native Land Institute. Chris Keyes with RE:PUBLIC media will moderate the discussion.

After the panel, you’ll have the chance to visit with representatives from these groups to learn more about fighting back against attacks on our public lands.
