join the fight to protect public lands

Add your name to the growing list of people calling for Congress and the Trump administration to stop the attacks on public lands.

The Trump administration is threatening to reduce the total number of national park sites, undo national monument designations, and open up millions of acres of national public lands to development and privatization, permanently cutting off public access and enjoyment and degrading or destroying irreplaceable habitats that the West’s unique wildlife species depend on.

Sign the petition to tell the administration and leaders in Congress to protect public lands, wildlife, and recreation access and stop the senseless attacks on America’s most cherished places.

Public lands are not partisan.

Regardless of political party, voters across the West strongly support protecting public land, water, and wildlife, according to numerous polls. For example, year after year the annual Conservation in the West Poll shows that Western voters want to keep their public lands protected for future generations, and voters across the political spectrum disagree with the Trump administration’s directives concerning public lands. Seventy-two percent are opposed to removing protections on some areas of existing national public lands, particularly national monuments, to allow more drilling, mining, and other development. This includes 51 percent of self-identified “Make America Great Again” voters.

Do you support or oppose reducing funding to the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and other agencies for repairs, firefighting, visitor services, and oversight of those public lands?
